A tag has been placed on File:One World Trade Center, Under Construction, April 2012.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. American Dream Meadowlands

Hi. Thanks for working to improve the American Dream Meadowlands article with your edit. However, the edit had to be partially reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, and the sources cited at the end of the passage in question do not mention a figure of $30. Hi Benjamin "Jeffrey" Powell. You've already been advised once before about this kind of thing back in 2015 in #September 2015, but for some reason you still seem to be pretty much tagging all of your edits as minor edits even when it seems clear that they aren't. Perhaps you've just been doing this out of habit, but you probably need to be a little more careful in doing so. Editors who continue to inappropriately mark edits as minor have been in the past blocked for disruptive editing, particularly when advised not to do so multiple times.
Another thing I also noticed is that you're in the habit of not leaving edit summaries for your edits. In some cases, like correcting an obvious typo, an edit summary may not really be needed, but in most cases leaving one can help others understand why a change was made and thus be less likely to mistake it for vandalism or some other form of disruption. A simple edit summary, e.g. "Per Wikipedia's policy/guideline on ABC", etc. maybe even containing a link to the relevant Wikipedia policy/guideline page, is much better than no edit summary and is considered good practice. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:36, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Please don't change Eng var without good reason. In UK English, punctuation doesn't need to sit inside inverted commas. @NEDOCHAN I'm sorry if I've misunderstood you if you were actually purely talking about the Wikipedia MOS - but using full stops is a variant after honorifics in Standard English. It's the main form I was taught as a little girl and as far as aware it still is (I'm 20, for context) although I could be wrong about that - but it's still in use as a variant either way. @User:NEDOCHAN I don't think that's inherently true. You can use no full stops if you want, but as I've demonstrated by that article, full stops after honorifics are a variant in Standard English. I feel like people should be able to use whatever variant they want - and using full stops after honorifics would pertain to that in a way that didn't deviate from Standard English - since it's already in common use.
