An article you recently created, Nigeria International Book Fair, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Celestina007 (talk) 19:37, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that primary sources can be used to clarify or substantiate certain things in an article but can not in itself be used to substantiate assertive statements (especially when those statements are appear to be a tad bit promotional). If you don’t understand me please let me know by leaving me a message on my TP or just go to the WP:TEAHOUSE and ask for further guidance. You may find it helpful to submit the article via AFC. Hi

[edit]

Hi Ben, this is tm. I enjoyed reading Nigeria International Book Fair, an article you started. Again, welcome to Wikipedia! Hoping you like it here. If you've got questions at any time, please reach out at the tea house.

Hi

Thank you tm. I won't hesitate to reach out to you.

Please note

[edit]

Until you understand to satisfaction what is outlined in RS, and WP:V specifically WP:REDFLAG you should use the AFC method to create articles. Exceptional claims of notability require you exceptional sources. Please do not circumnavigate the afc process. Celestina007 (talk) 22:20, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Control copyright icon Hello Benbeezy! Your additions to Igue festival have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 00:38, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

blocked indefinitely

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason='This must have been a misunderstanding. I do not run or have multiple accounts on Wikipedia. This is my only account. At the time I got blocked, we had a competition going on at the Lagos State University Wiki Club. The name of the competition was Wiki Festival Nigeria. So most people on campus was writing festival related articles. Justmee3001 happened to be part of the competitors in the competition. And maybe at one point in time our IP address was the same being that we use the same sim card (MTN) and we were at the same location (LASU EPE CAMPUS). I understand however that this could have given a red flag that it must have been the same person that is running different accounts seeing that both accounts were all creating festival related articles, but I don't own nor run Justmee3001. And I do not in anyway have any other account aside this one Benbeezy. I humbly request that the ban on my account be lifted considering the stated reason above.' ~~~~}}.  PhilKnight (talk) 18:40, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

unblock request

[edit]

Hi PhilKnight, I'm just coming around to see a block on Ben's page for sockpuppetry. I can assure you, Ben & Justmee are two different persons, I've met them. I have now properly formatted their unblock request for you or any other admin to have a look. Warm regards.

Stormy Chamber (talk) 11:33, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stormy Chamber, thanks for letting me know. I have unblocked. PhilKnight (talk) 11:42, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks PhilKnight! Stormy Chamber (talk) 11:47, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @User:PhilKnight, I can also confirm to you as the club lead for Wikimedia Fan Club, Lagos state University as at the time that Benbeezy and Justmee3001 are two different persons.

I therefore ask that you or any other admin kindly take a critical look at their block.

Kind regards. B.Korlah (talk) 11:44, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
