Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 22:20, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ben Heine article

[edit]

Hi Ben. Thank you for your post on my talk page. I generally participate in WP:AfD discussions and WP:DRV discussions. Sometimes I read over the Wikipedia news at Google to address in Wikipedia matters raised there. I came across a Wikipedia news at Google that mentioned Ben Heine and Wikipedia (I think it was this posting). I followed up the matter, which eventually lead me to the Ben Heine AfD, where I posted my comments. That AfD discussion resulted in the article being deleted on 20 September 2007. Since that time, NCurse and then GRBerry speedy deleted the Ben Heine article. See this link. The way to get the Ben Heine article restored is to follow the Steps to list a new deletion review. -- Jreferee t/c 23:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with the article was that is was not based on material from relaible sources. Basically, reliable sources are newspapers and books not connected with Ben Heine. Blogs don't count and written material you produced does not count, either. I found some information on Ben Heine, but there was not enough material to develop an WP:A article. You probably know of all the press coverage you have received. Even if the newspaper article and/or book coverage is in a foreign language, that is fine. If you and/or your friends can write a draft Ben Heine here and footnote each sentence with a reliable source, that should convince WP:DRV to restore the article. If you would like me to review the draft article before you go to WP:DRV, please post a note on my talk page. -- Jreferee t/c 01:14, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
