Hi Belagaile. Thanks for taking the initiative to add dates to the List of romantic novelists! I've been meaning to do that and appreciate the help. However, we may need to change the format for the dates. Per WP:Date#Dates_of_birth_and_death, dates should be in the format 1 January, 2007 and not 2007/01/20. Single years are also not supposed to be linked, just full years. I noticed that the List of authors page just uses years, not months and days, so if you'd rather do that, that would be fine too. Per [[WP:DATE}], if you want to keep in the month and date (which is fine), please use 1 January or January 11, 2007. That way the dates will change for users based on their preferences. Samantha Carter is a real romance author, but the link was pointing to the wrong article. When you notice someone like that, just put (author) after their name. Naming

Please read over the naming guidelines. You've made a lot of edits lately to romance authors that conflict with this guideline. An example of this would be Diana Palmer (author). Per naming conventions the name of the article should be what "the majority of English speakers would most easily recognize." Basically if the article is at Diana Palmer then the article should start out saying 'diana palmer blah blah blah born as suchandsuch'. A good way to recognize what is the most recognized name is to look at the authors official website.. in the case of Diana Palmer her website is dianapalmer.com. I know a lot of these authors use pen names and for that the guideline is "If people published under one or more pen names and/or their own name, the best known of these names is chosen." I apologize for the late reply. The name is not lost if you mention pseudonyms later in the article; however referring to the author by a lesser known name at the beginning of an article causes a great amount of confusion, especially if that name is obscure. Take for example the article Jenna Black; right now she writes under Jenna Black; however she has written under the pen name Jennifer Barlow. The article started off referring to her as Jennifer Barlow despite the fact that the article's name is Jenna Black. You do this to avoid confusion because most people don't realize that some of these people have more than one pen name, so you stick with the one that they're commonly known as and stay with that throughout the entire article. What I mean is that most people don't know that Eleanor Marie Robertson Smith Wilder is Nora Roberts because she doesn't write under that name, she hasn't published under that name, and she rarely refers to herself by that name when interviewing. It's ok to mention it later in the article, because it is her birth/married names however per WP:NAME "Names of Wikipedia articles should be optimized for readers over editors; and for a general audience over specialists." The whole gist of my comment can be boiled down to: Just because you might be familiar with their given name/lesser known pen names doesn't mean that everybody else is. --ImmortalGoddezz 17:17, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Belagail. I haven't visited the List of romantic novelists in a while, and I was quite surprised at the new format. You might want to look over the guidelines for formatting lists before making any further changes to the page. the only reason a list should have multiple columns is if that is needed for the information about one item in the list (for example, a column for the name, a column for first book released, and a column for a reference). It should not have different items in multiple columns the way it does now. The page had had complaints in the past that it had too many red links. The easiest way to fix the formatting would be to just remove all the red links from the main page and make sure they are on the talk page. We can then use the talk page as a todo list. Article Naming

Hi Belagaile. I'm not sure if you are aware, but per Wikipedia:Naming conventions, an article title should be the most common name that a person is known by, not necessarily their full legal name. I saw that you moved Rebecca Burton to Rebecca Brown Burton. That is incorrect; the article should be at the name she is most commonly known by, which is Rebecca Burton. Please also pay attention to the coherence of the information that you add, both times I've reverted your additions to this article because they are, for the most part, unintelligible in addition to being dubiously sourced. If you can find a reliable source for this information that is in English, note that fantastic fiction is not reliable, please add the info back. Images of book covers in author articles

Hi Belagaile, I saw that you reverted my changes to several romance author articles. Please note that under fair use we cannot use the image of a book cover in an article about an author unless the book cover itself is critically discussed or the book is critically discussed. This means that we can't just say, "In 1985, her first book X, was released" and include an image of the book cover. We have to go further and include critical commentary about the book. You may want to review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Image use policy. I'm going to reapply my changes; please don't revert again without discussing with me first. Thanks. Naming policy

Belagaile, I noticed that you moved Diana Palmer (author) to Susan Kyle. Please note that under Wikipedia:Naming guidelines, the title of the page should be the most commonly used name of the person. For this author, she is most commonly known as Diana Palmer. Please also do not move existing articles solely so you can use the name as a redirect. That is considered bad practice. You can create a disambiguation page and have Name (author) and Name (something else), or you can put a WP:Hatnote at the top of the existing article to say "For the author who wrote as X, see author name here. WP:OVERLINK; redundancies; Welcome

Thanks for all your contributions. Just a few minor comments: It is not necessary to red-link names and phrases unless you plan to write an article on the redlinked subject soon or believe that the subject will likely have an article soon. Also, you do not need to repeat birth and date information several times in articles, and dates should no longer be linked at all, per WP:MOSNUM. Please look over the useful links that I have added at the top of this page, and a belated welcome to Wikipedia. CAUTION - copyvio

Belagaile, please be aware that you cannot copy and paste text from an online source into a Wikipedia article. Even if you change a few words or leave out a few words, if the bulk of the sentence is taken from another source, it cannot remain in the wikipedia article without quotation marks. This is expressly forbidden on wikipedia and could get you blocked. I noticed that several of your recent contributions have text taken directly from online sources. I'll clean up a little of this for an example for you, but you need to go through all of your other articles and make sure that they don't read very similarly to the original source. nationality and grammar

If you make a change/correction to somebody's nationality, as you did here, please make sure that the preceding article agrees with the new nationality, e.g. "an English", "a British".
