Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Progressive Episcopalians of Pittsburgh

You used Twinkle, right? For some reason, this article's entry tends to show up as a red link when you use Twinkle. Just do a dummy edit on the article and the red link should be fixed. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 23:55, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Early in this AfD discussion, you wrote that the article "would still be original research unless someone found a source for every one of these characters that uses the phrase 'hooker with a heart of gold'". Then, after sources were found for a large number of the listed characters, you described the article as "bloated with references". Could you please clarify your opinion of the value of having references for individual characters? --Metropolitan90 (talk) 13:21, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for the late/moot reply, I've been away a for a few days. What I was trying to say is that adding a character name to the list without citing a source that specifically referred to the character and used the phrase "hooker with a heart of gold" would be original research, but in retrospect, since the article is not defined as a list, most of the list should be chopped down as it was pretty much just a trivia section. It seemed that many of the references being added showed that the phrase was used, but were not discussions about the phrase itself. Since the phrase was the articles topic, sources not being used specifically to back up inclusion of particular characters in the article were just "examples" as opposed to "references". What is your malfunction, dude? I'm not a sock puppet. Every time I log in there's a message from you on my talk page warning me about somethingerother, but on who's authority I'm yet to find out. And now I'm supposedly a sock puppet? I don't know why you suspect me, but then, I don't really care, either. Fuck off, eh? I've never bothered you, so stop bothering me, jackass. Kyle E. Coyote (talk) 04:21, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

You can feel free to explain why you are not involved in sockpuppetry at the link I put on your talk page, although you won't get far if all you can come up with is "Fuck off". Beeblbrox (talk) 18:54, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

My beloved laptop is busted so I am only able to check in every few days right now. You can still leave me a message but it might take a week or so to get a reply. Thanks. Beeblbrox (talk) 15:55, 23 June 2008 (UTC) All better now Beeblbrox (talk) 04:15, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. Please feel free to monitor my watchlist and do this (save me from making the discussion page) more often and so quickly! --Blechnic (talk) 19:29, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

TGWTG

Seriously, please do delete the Angry Video game nerd entry as well, when you kick out TGWTG! =/ 217.226.239.26 (talk) 18:36, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

  • I have glanced at that article, and it looks to have better sources, although many of them are not what Wikipedia considers reliable, and I have tagged it as such. Any registered user can initiate an Articles for Deletion discussion, so if you want it deleted, you could create an account and follow the instructions at the guide to deletion. I would also recommend that you read this page as it is the best, most concise guide to what Wikipedia is and how it works. Good Luck Beeblbrox (talk) 04:00, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
The AVGN character has much mainstream coverage over the past year that clearly establishes notability, with the last AFD closing as Speedy Keep. Please stop coaching single purpose accounts in an effort to delete the article. SashaNein (talk) 04:05, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
  • I told him to register and read the guide to deletion and the five pillars first, and you need to assume good faith and use a little common sense. If I felt that article should be deleted I would start an AfD myself, it sure wouldn't be the first time. Beeblbrox (talk) 04:10, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

  • That's an interesting remark coming from someone who two lines back was assuming they could read my motives and ordered me to cease and desist in trying to educate new users. Beeblbrox (talk) 04:24, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
