Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:45, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • First of all, do not come onto my talk page with a chip on your shoulder. I am one of the nicest people you are likely to meet on this site, but I will knock that chip clean off every time. Second, before you go and create nearly contentless articles, I would suggest you read WP:YFA and add some content and some third-party references as to why this group is notable. Otherwise, it's just going to get deleted again for lack of both notability and content. PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:53, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. I honestly didn't mean to come down so hard; the ol' conscience has been gnawing at me. Feel free to recreate the article with a bit more content and it should be OK. PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:26, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Dear God (Nick Jonas song)

[edit]

The article Dear God (Nick Jonas song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Song has not been released as single, fails WP:MUSIC notability, author of article appears unwilling to let this stand as redirect to artist, so PROD is only solution.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD (talk) 21:14, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In your article you didn't include the fact that it was released as a single, which as I understand it gives it the right to exist as an article! So I've unprodded it. The disambiguation has to be "(Nick Jonas song)", not "(Song)" - capital letters aren't used for general words like "song", and there are several other songs with WP articles. The attack on The South Tower at 9:03.

Hello, Beatlefan97. Concerning File:911 Smoke.jpg, you say that you "adopted" this image. Are you the actual photographer who took this photo? If not, do you have permission from the copyright holder to "adopt" this image? Generally, attribution to the photographer or copyright holder needs to be provided, together with the copyright statement, if applicable. You can reply here; I'll be watching this page. Wildbear (talk) 03:44, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your reply: "It's public domain since the website its from is not on the web anymore". What was the URL for the web site? Perhaps it was archived on archive.org, so that copyright and attribution for the image can be checked. I would expect the image to be copyrighted to a photographer or news service, rather than to a web site. Wildbear (talk) 19:46, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:911 Smoke.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:19, 5 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Wildbear (talk) 04:19, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Beatlefan97, in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines, mainly Wikipedia:User page, you cannot display File:Ecotower.jpg on your user page, because it's a copyrighted image. You displaying the picture in a way not defined as fair use constitutes copyright infringement under the laws of the United States. I apologies for not being completely clear on this before. If you have any questions, please leave a note on my talk page. Thank you, cflm (talk) 12:25, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Cover Let It Be Remastered.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 06:42, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Non Free Images in you User Space

[edit]

Hey there Beatlefan97, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free images are not allowed in the user or talk-space. I removed some images that I found on User:Beatlefan97. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use images to your user-space drafts or your talk page. See a log of images removed today here, shutoff the bot here and report errors here. Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 22:48, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Belk Carolina Place Mall.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Orphaned non-free image File:The Nanny (TV series) logo.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:The Nanny (TV series) logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:36, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
