Sorry if this is not the right place to address this - not sure where to go. At http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazim_al-Qubrusi there was a photo of this Sheikh with the Pope and it was removed. The photo is from saltanat.org and there is permission to use it. The photo was not only removed from the site but also from the commons and the BePhoto account unauthorized, so the photo could not be uploaded again. (Moved from Edit War noticeboard, which is not the right venue for this). We can't accept photos unless we have evidence that they are public domain, as you say. The site you mention copyrights and protects it's contents. If the photo was deleted at Commons, you should take your discussion there.
