Verifiability

Hi, it's important that information on Wikipedia is confirmed by reliable sources. Per WP:V, an official policy, unsourced information can be removed on sight and the onus is on the editor including the information to appropriately verify it. Thanks, Deizio talk 02:11, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

I only spotted a reference to a slap (no scratching) on Boss Foxx's WWE Heat Recap on www.lordsofpain.net, but I appreciate the effort. Trivia is an especially tricky area as it contains vanity edits, unreliable information, primary research, nonsense, completely unencyclopedic statements and sheer misinformation perhaps more than anything else. If something is truly important to informing the reader about a notable topic (especially something contemporary and well covered on the web like WWE) then it will be out there somewhere. Please tell me how the links are "messed up" when they're STILL WORKING?? And, in regards to links, there was lots of redundancy in other sections of the article where they are used more than once. :I'm trying not to be a jerk about this. Hart Foundation and The Hart Foundation are not the same link, even though they end at the same place. They end there because Hart Foundation redirects to the proper article, with "The" in the title. Just because clicking it gets you there eventually doesn't make it the correct link. You're changing links that bypass redirects to redirects, which is bad. I'm reverting it again to fix them all.

Gee, it looks and reads all the same. That doesn't make it an incorrect link, does it now?

Without using what may be termed "uncivil" language and resorting to name-calling, this is petty. The links all go to the same article. What's wrong with a redirect? Your insistence in leaving the incorrect grammar in the article just for the "benefit" of preserving the links is petty. And I didn't even change all of the links themselves, instead just making changes to the text that includes the hyperlinks.

A few other things:

• Cheryl Roberts is no longer married to Jake Roberts, and when the Roberts/Savage feud began he was an analyst, so the use of "then-" in both instances are appropriate;
• there are, as I mentioned before, too many redundant Wikilinks to names in the Notable Title Changes and Hosts sections that don't need to be there; and
• what's wrong with using Mr. Perfect's, Razor Ramon's, or Diesel's real names?

I'm sorry, I thought they were fansites. They seem to be fansites. gerweck.net is owned by Steve Gerweck, for example, not by the WWE or other wrestling organisation. The 5 Finger Chowder Fist needs to be in this list as no other wrestling move is similar. It is used in the soon to be on television wrestling promotion known as Kaiju Big Battel. Wrestling photo question

As I was reading this: Skyscrapers (professional wrestling), I noticed it has a picture of Dan Spivey. His article needs a picture, but I wasn't sure if I should use it or not. I read the description of the picture: it doesn't seem to be free use though. What do you think? flag icon's on biographies.

I put the flag icon back next to his name on Ken Doane, in the biography project they put the flag icon next to the name at the top of the info box to show the nationality of the person. Also I have noticed they don't put flag icon's next to place of birth. Regards Govvy 12:34, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

RE: OwW

I don't want to remove them, but I have too because it wont let me roll back vandalism if I don't remove them first. Instead of saving my changes it sends me to something that says my changes cant be saved because WP recognizes SPAM on this page or something like that. I hold out hope it will be removed from the SPAM list, but for now it seems there's nothing I can do when a user makes several bad changes in a row (it only seems to happen when I try to rv through undo, etc.) Cheers, Bmg916 ^{Speak to Me} 17:22, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

I've discovered we can merely comment out the links to OwW and it will not trigger the spam filter. This should be handy as this way we wont have to remove them, and we can simply remove the comment tags when it's removed from the spam blacklist. Bmg916 ^{Speak to Me} 23:09, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Overlinking

Why do you insist on overlinking articles? It is not needed, and just looks ridiculois. It would be like talking about the Game Boy Advance, and making it link to both the Game Boy article and the Game Boy Advance article. TJ Spyke 22:43, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

The mention at WP:BIO shows (which only had 3 people) suggest using 1 link, and the matter didn't really get resolved at WP:PW. It's not really informative and is just overlinking. I will give another examply, it would be like talking about the US Navy and having it be like [[United States]] [[United States Navy|Navy]].
