Welcome
[edit]Hello, Batinde, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.
There is a page about the verifiability policy that explains the policy in greater detail, and another that offers tips on the proper ways of citing sources. If you are stuck and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Demographics of Punjab (India), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jatt Sikh - warrior group
[edit]Hi Batinde. You seem to be keen to emphasise that Jatt Sikh is a warrior group in the article's lead. To me that suggests that the majority of its estmated 11 million people are (present tense - today) warriors. Clearly this isn't the case; the defining feature of these Jat people is their religion, and I wonder if we can find some way of wording this so that the warrior attributes are put into historical context, along with suitable references. -- Timberframe (talk) 08:56, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

- I second that. Please stop. Last warning. Jeroen (talk) 21:25, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. 99.149.84.135 (talk) 19:25, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of List of criminal organizations
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of criminal organizations. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of criminal organizations. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:31, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Batinde! Thanks for adding information in the article on Bija (village) created by me. Kindly help adding some pictures and more information on this village. I also am deeply interested to know if you can help in tracing the remaining members of the family (if any) of Shafi Muhammad, Ghaus Muhammad and Fateh Muhammad, etc., residing in the said village before partition of Indo-Pak as mentioned in the section "A Real Story of Bija village" of this article. These persons were Qureshi by caste. I also wish to know whether Qureshies are still residing in the said village? Best regards & waiting for reply. --JC Bills (talk) 07:40, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent edit to the page Sikhism in the United States appears to have added incorrect information and has been reverted or removed. All information in this encyclopedia must be verifiable in a reliable, published source. If you believe the information that you added was correct, please cite the references or sources or before making the changes, discuss them on the article's talk page. Please use the sandbox for any tests that you wish to make. Do take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. LA Times source states as follows:"There are about 500,000 Sikhs in the United States, with about 150,000 in Southern California, according to the council.". Please do not change content without providing a new reliable source reference that supports the lower figure. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 15:39, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 19
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Demographics of Punjab, India, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Moga (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
