Bot code

[edit]

Make sure your code for your bot adding interwiki links adds them inside any pertinent noinclude tags in templates. For instance: Template:US state navigation box.[1] kthxbai. --198.185.18.207 (talk) 14:42, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I also reverted the change at Template:Calm talk, since it was messing up the display of that template on the pages where it is used. The instructions there say to add interwiki links to the /doc subpage. (They are already there). EdJohnston (talk) 14:45, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've reverted many more edits made by the bot. Please do not make any more edits to templates until this problem has been fixed, or the bot is likely to be blocked. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 15:04, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Since this editor doesn't appear to be online, and a complaint was raised at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#ANI is locked, I have blocked AkhtaBot. After the problem is fixed, please ask any admin to unblock it for you. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 15:13, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, we've had to revert the actions of AkhtaBot twice at Weeping tile. Samw (talk) 04:23, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re-ordering interwiki links?

[edit]

Hello. Please see this edit by AkhtaBot, which in addition to adding an interwiki link changed the (correct alphabetical) order of the pre-existing interwiki links, and this edit by me restoring the correct order. Please see that AkhtaBot is fixed so that the existing interwiki links are not disturbed when new links are added. Thanks. --Tkynerd (talk) 17:28, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Bassem JARKAS! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 230 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Lelia al-Atrash - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Your bot on English Wikipedia

[edit]

A proposal to de-authorize a group of idle interwiki bots on the English Wikipedia is currently in process. A bot account of yours has been included in the list. If you are no longer using this bot, no action is neccessary by you. Should you wish to revive your bot in the near future, please remove your bot from the list here: en:Wikipedia:Bot_owners'_noticeboard#Interwiki_Bot_that_are_inactive. Thank you for your contributions. For the en: Bot Approvals Group,

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
