Image copyright problem with Image:GHS.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:GHS.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. — Rebelguys2 talk 00:14, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Uniform policy
[edit]Well, I don't see it as redundant - The uniform policy of a school is a major part of the school. In addition MCS allows schools to allow certain colors along with the uniform policy. WhisperToMe 16:49, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
About unincorporated Cordova
[edit]Do you know which high school serves unincorporated Cordova? WhisperToMe 17:12, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Yes - Indeed many unincorporated areas of Shelby County are zoned to Cordova (I love zone tools) - By the way, do you know of any other schools, MCS or otherwise, that feed into Cordova High School? (I started a feeder pattern section). WhisperToMe 17:27, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Anyways, I Google Earthed Cordova High and found that it wasn't in Memphis after all. WhisperToMe 21:27, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Major edit or major delete?
[edit]What happened to the list of elementary, middle, and high schools in Williamson County School District?
Hi, I saw you reverted my changes to Briarcrest Christian School. I reverted it back again since the old one is a copyright violation from [1] and other pages from that site. Cheers, Garion96 (talk) 10:58, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Barlett High
[edit]I suspected as much but, as you know, Wiki policy is to err on the side of supporting the users. I gave them the benefit of the doubt as they were polite on my user page. FractureTalk 18:59, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:11biz1c o.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:11biz1c o.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:04, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
A fellow cordovan!
[edit]Just noticed that you're likely a fellow Cordovan. User:Dozenist is as well. Who knew there'd be three of us on here? · j e r s y k o talk · 02:52, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- How does this look? Interesting building too, Memphis needs some nice contemporary architecture for the skyline. · j e r s y k o talk · 00:10, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Per your post on the talk page you may wanna see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Leroy (South Park), thanks! Glen 09:59, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Cordova HS may not be within Memphis after all
[edit]I entered Cordova's address in here: http://filemaker.scsk12.org/zone/search.php - It's giving me Shelby County schools for elementary and middle school.
Does this mean that Cordova HS is not actually in the Memphis city limits? WhisperToMe 22:06, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, this sounds like the school is in Memphis. Even so, I believe that you should mail the representative anyway just to make sure :) WhisperToMe 20:09, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Franklin Road Academy
[edit]I just rewrote the article on Franklin Road Academy while trying to avoid the previous copyright violations. I'm kind of new to wikipedia, and I saw that you had edited the article to remove copyright violations so that's why I'm wondering if you could look over it and make sure it's ok.--Rover007TN 03:14, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Possibly unfree Image:11biz1c_o.jpg
[edit]- Hi, I saw your comment on WP:PUI regarding this image. I deleted the image for now, but if you get permission for "unrestricted, non-exclusive and non-revocable commercial reuse and derivative works" I will undelete it. Just leave me a message on my talk. Garion96 (talk) 15:36, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:CHS-Crest.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:CHS-Crest.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:13, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
John Overton Comprehensive High School
[edit]I have put a lot of work into the JOHS website that you marked for cleanup in November 2006. Do you think the cleanup request can now be removed? 76.18.160.16 (talk) 22:16, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:NightShot Touchup.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:NightShot Touchup.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:28, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Hello. You previously voted in the 2006 AfD for Suri Cruise. At the time, Suri was less than 10 days old, and the ultimate verdict was to turn the article into a redirect to her mother's page.
Since then, Suri has become much more notable in her own right as a toddler fashion icon, with over 13 million hits on google image search. After getting an administrator to lift the protection on the redirect, I recently restored the article as a stub, but an editor who believes that "6 year olds are not inherently notable" has again requested deletion.
If it's not too much trouble, I'd appreciate your making your opinion known at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Suri Cruise (2nd nomination) Warren Dew (talk) 07:38, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
