Assessment

Hi. I see that you have been assessing quite a few physics articles lately. Thank you for that, the physics wikiproject needs a lot more editors doing assessments. I do however invite you to read the project importance guidelines. Some of your assessment seem to have a particular bias towards GR related topics, so I urge you to be both aware of your bias and critical of your own judgement, when assessing articles. Speedy deletion of Red Circuit

A tag has been placed on Red Circuit requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Re Sa'adiah Shoshani

It's fine to propose the article for deletion, but that is done by inserting the template, without removing the contents at the same time. You need to leave the contents there, for others to evaluate whether they agree. Then, when consensus is reached, the article is deleted. I'm reverting you a second time (if someone else hasn't already done so), and then, go ahead, insert the template, but leave the contents as-is. If you haven't done so, it's a good idea to leave a note on the talk page about your opinion about the article, as well. --NorwegianBlue ^talk 19:50, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

I'm an admin at the Hebrew Wikipedia, and usually when a machine-translated article appears, we delete it immediately. It is also customary in the Hebrew Wiki to replace the whole article with the deletion template. I'm sorry if I did anything wrong. Someone has moved the article to a subpage in someone else's userspace, so I presume there is a collaboration going on to improve the translation(?). Anyway, it's out of the article main space now, so the current problem is solved. If you want an article to be removed immediately, it would have to meet one of the criteria at Category:Speedy deletion templates (and again, leave the contents, and let an admin delete it). --NorwegianBlue ^talk 20:38, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
