Banchasana, you are invited to the Teahouse
[edit]Hi Banchasana! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
== Deletion nomination ==
Your nomination is incomplete until you have created the discussion page. Please follow the instructions. Otherwise I will remove the nomination. The subject is clearly notable, and being "promotional" is not a valid argument for deletion, only for fixing the article. WP:SOFIXIT. Yworo (talk) 06:28, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
- Working on this. I'm new to Wikipedia. Banchasana (talk) 06:37, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
Please do not remove sources while the article is at AfD. Leave it to other editors to evaluate the sources. Use the talk page to express any objections you might have to the sources. Interviews are valid sources and the article language may simply need to be adjusted to correspond better with the source. Seems like you have an axe to grind about the subject? That makes you also non-neutral. Yworo (talk) 07:12, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. I do not have an "axe to grind" about the subject -- I just am concerned when I see biographies that seem like advertisements. I do think it is poorly sourced (the CSPAN video does not confirm the statements; some of the articles are obscure websites that are essentially restating the person's press release). I think I was confused that an article that was deleted earlier (without discussion upon my nomination) was republished yet is very similar. I am taking your suggestions and will work (with others, obviously) on making the language in the article more related to the source, less promotional, and a bit more balanced. And I'll spend a bet more time in the Wikipedia sandbox! --Banchasana (talk) 07:24, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
- And I didn't see your revision/notes because I think we were editing the page at the same time (you said "banchasana/knock it off"). I didn't know the rules about this and would definitely not have removed citations while the notice was on it. Sorry!--Banchasana (talk) 07:30, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

- Yworo, I have a question. In Ravi Singh's article, he states he was the first Indian-American student body president at an American University. However, Naveen Jindal (who is older than Singh and graduated from UT Dallas in 1992) was student government president at a major university at an earlier time. [1] So the sentences in this article stating Singh was the first Indian-American student body president are wrong. Am I allowed, while the delete tag is up, to edit this? Speedy deletion contested: Chicago Food Truck Festival
[edit]Hello Banchasana. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Chicago Food Truck Festival, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 18:00, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Eastmain: Thanks. I recognize now that speedy deletion was not the write process for it but submitting it via AfD. --Banchasana (talk) 03:36, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

The topic was settled, created and merged by User:Northamerica1000. Thus, please refrain from any further deletions of Chicago Food Truck Festival from the Chicago section as this is considered vandalism. Check out [[1]].
