Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. The links you added to the page Saleen have been removed. Please do not add commercial links—or links to your own private websites—to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. --AbsolutDan (talk) 23:28, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- In response to your question on my talk page, I removed the link because, in checking your edit history, you've only added that link. Many spammers create accounts solely to promote their own site. Wikipedia is not here to promote other websites. Wikipedia is also in need of more content, not more external links.
- If there are other links in that article that are merely self-promotion, those should go as well. If you're sure they're spam, feel free to remove them yourself (making sure to explain the removal either in the edit summary or on the article's talk page).
- If you have any other questions or concerns please don't hesitate to let me know on my talk page --AbsolutDan (talk) 23:45, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
I would suggest you read up on WP:NOT. The reason I removed them are so people that keep adding sites will leave the article alone. Wikipedia is not a link repository, as such it can't accommodated every and all website about vB, which is the reason a select few where selected. You and the rest decided to ignore that by spamming the external links section. So as a last solution, all links have been removed. I would also ask that you read the talk page for vbulletin and its archive for more information on what we established not that long ago when it comes to links.
