- So do you. Before you edit learn to distinguish the difference between english words and non-english words as in the case of Venkateswara and in the same sense of differentiating between cartoon and animation. Edits like these this and this show ur lack of knowledge on language and cinema respectively. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 01:44, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
disjointed line => jointed line; for divisional limits
It would be helpful if there was some explanation for this, as putting it on to two lines makes it appear as if there is something missing between the two (eGRENZE
) icons. Useddenim (talk) 20:05, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

- Dear @Useddenim:, pls see to the right. Regarding, divisional limits though there exists no buffer zone between two railway divisions, placing two (
eGRENZE
) icons, the line seem to be continuous. But, while placing single (eGRENZE
) icon for the said purpose with{{BSsplit}}
, the line seems to discontinuous with a small white gap (also i faced difficulty to place{{rmri}}
too). A wikipedian (especially, working widely with rail-related articles/RDT's) can understand, but how could a ordinary person? In that sense only I changed, correct me if am wrong.

- N.B: Also in India, there exists few meters (approx. 30 meters (minimum)) of buffer zone for state boundaries on major roadways, but not elsewhere in my observation so far. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 21:39, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
- The small white gap is an artifact that was introduced when wikimedia decided to change the default fonts and styling for the vector skins. The issue is slowly being fixed (for instance, I noticed that it has disappeared when using Firefox & Mac OS X) so I don’t consider that a problem. Also, although appreciated, it is not necessary to thank for every edit. Useddenim (talk) 03:28, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, i understood that. If the issue is due to change of fonts, could we use the HTML tag for displaying smaller texts or {{small}} or try to avoid that white gap by placing another (
eGRENZE
) until this font issue is resolved? - FYI, i contribute using Firefox only.
- And, if things are good IMO, it tempts me to hit the "thank" w/o second thought. Sorry, i'd stop it, if u feel kind of annoyance. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 12:33, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

- I reduced the line-height to 0.95em from 1em in {{BSsplit}}. Does that fix the problem? Useddenim (talk) 12:47, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

- {{Tirunelveli–Nagercoil (Kanyakumari)–Trivandrum Central line}}: given that Tirunelveli to Nagercoil is NE to SW, Nagercoil to Kanyakumari to NW to SE, Nagercoil to Thiruvananthapuram to SE to NW, and that this is only a schematic Diagram rather than a geographical map, it’s misleading to show a North pointer and immaterial whether the Kanyakumari branch is shown going up or down. (I chose the latter so that both sets of distance numbers run consistently.)
- {{Madurai–Bodinayakkanur branch line}}: the icon (
HSTeBHF
) is meant to indicate “station on open/active line downgraded to a minor stop”. (eBHF
) and (eHST
) are station and stop, respectively, out of use on an open/active line. What you had originally drawn was very unclear.
Useddenim (talk) 12:27, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
- Dear @Useddenim:
- {{Tirunelveli–Nagercoil (Kanyakumari)–Trivandrum Central line}}:What u said are very correct. When u were revamping some RDT's you yourself incorporated north pointer in one or two templates (which i dont remember properly). In this case i originally drew NW to SE as you correctly said, but while revamping you had inversed. I thought you may have unknowingly inversed that tail line, hence i re-drew it and placed a north pointer (for a reference), otherwise except in one template i didn't place north pointers in any of the template i created. Though this a schematic diagram (rough one) than a geographical map, i re-drew in the sense that in future somebody from wikipedia community or outside of wikipedia could cite/term it as error or poor stuff. Though this is my assumption, that it may or may not happen, but IMO we contributors should minimise the occurence of error as much as possible (Correct me if am wrong).
- {{Madurai–Bodinayakkanur branch line}}: In this template, this icon (
HSTeBHF
) description in commons says "BSicon for train stops which used to be stations", hence i inferred that it was for station which were active once and now defunct/abandoned. Nagamalai, Vadapalanji, Chekkanoorani, Valandur, Doddappanayakkanur, Vallandhi Road and Budipuram were once major stations, later downgraded to minor stop, defunct and abandoned now. The trains presently just passes by it, thats all. FYI, this line is undergoing change of gauge from metre gauge to broad gauge presently. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 13:22, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I saw you requested Ajmer – Jabalpur Superfast Express be deleted, presumably to move the current content of Dayodaya Express to that page? It looks like these two pages were on the same topic, but developed independently. If that's the case, you may want to merge the content of one in to the other, and then redirect one page to another. That wouldn't require page deletion, and would preserve the page history of both articles. Prodego talk 20:19, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
- Dear @Prodego, thanks for the query. As per respective page histories, Dayodaya Express was first created and Ajmer – Jabalpur Superfast Express later. I merged to latter to Dayodaya Express, but when typed in search box as Ajmer – Jabalpur Superfast Express it lands on the same page now instead of showing Dayodaya Express article unlike other redirects. Hence, i tagged for CSD, instead of occupying unwanted space here. You may suggest a suitable solution. Thank you. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 20:58, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

Query
Hi! I am Charlton and I can't tell myself a newbie to Wikipedia since I have made many edits. But you seem to be an expert here in Wikipedia. So, it would be great if you help me to make better usage of Wikipedia. Also, leave me your Facebook or email id. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charlton26 (talk • contribs) 11:58, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
- Dear @Charlton26, thanks for your credit. But IMHO everybody is a learner always in someway, particularly in this mammoth Wikipedia. You may either leave a message/query here or at Teahouse or at help desk, what you exactly need. BTW, it is not necessary to disclose personal details at Wikipedia, anyway it could be found indirectly thro' my userpage. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 19:53, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

Rail/road crossings
I took a look at some random crossings in Google Earth, and it looks as if there are very few grade separations in India outside of major urban areas, so I think that it would be more appropriate to use (SKRZ-G2
) instead of (AKRZ-UKo
) or (AKRZ-UKo
). Your thoughts? Useddenim (talk) 03:43, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Useddenim: Almost every grade separators in India irrespective of its presence in urban or suburban areas, are built “over” the railway lines only. IMO, (
SKRZ-G2
) icon can be used for unmanned levelled crossings and to grade separators to some extent. And (AKRZ-UKo
) is recommended for kind of flyovers/grade separators or could be used to indicate Highways (as most of the National Highways in India are four/six-lanes). And (AKRZ-UKo
) could be used for indicating State Highways as they mostly have two lanes only. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 23:24, 27 May 2014 (UTC)- I guess my “random sample” was too rural in nature. From now on I will use (
