Re: James Hormel page
[edit]Thank you for the message [1] you left on my talk page. I made the decision to semi-protect the James Hormel article due to the fact that in just 48 hours eight different IP addresses made virtually the exact same POV-pushing edits in an apparent attempt to censor the article. If you wish, you may review these edits via the article history. Given past experience, all eight of these IPs appear to be sockpuppets of the same banned editor, hense my semi-protection.
As a registered Wikipedia user, you may still edit this -and any other semi-protected- article once you reach autoconfirmed status. Typically this happens automatically for accounts that are more than 4 days old and have made at least 10 edits. In the meantime, please feel free to suggest changes on the article's talk page. If Mr. Hormel himself has concerns about the Wikipedia topic on him, he should review Dealing with articles about yourself for assistance. Regardless, all editors making changes to this article must follow the official Wikipedia policy on Biographies of living persons. This policy requires, among other things, that the article be written with the greatest care and attention to verifiability, neutrality and avoiding original research. Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues. --Kralizec! (talk) 13:01, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Bailarin85, I first want to apologize as I did think you were the same person who had vandalized that article, amongst others, repeatedly. If you are in contact with the subject of the article you might also let him know that generally if information, in this case Timothy Wu's name, is published in multiple reliable sources then including it doesn't seem problematic. It's also not likely to be seen as controversial as Wu himself has borderline notability for his work.[2] Banjeboi 15:38, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Banjeboi to Bailarin85, re: Michael Nguyen
[edit]We need a source to add someone as such. If you have one please add it if you wish to also re-add the name. -- Banjeboi 11:23, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
