File copyright problem with File:Omar-hassan.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Omar-hassan.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Eighth Grade
[edit]The Plot is identical to the one on IMDb. Did you write it or copy it? Ribbet32 (talk) 23:41, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
I wrote the first plot summary for Wikipedia. I saw it opening weekend and transcribed it from memory. I was not aware of the imdb page which looks copied from here. -bachwiz18

[edit]Hi. Regarding your most recent edit:
Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. Material lacking such citations is not permitted, and this includes material that represents the editor's own analysis or assessment, which is called original research here on Wikipedia, and is not permitted. This has nothing to do with "length" or "tone" (although those were separate issues with some of the material others have added to the article), and if you're the same editor who used IP 100.36.105.31, then I would point out that I made this point on that IP's talk page a number of times, complete with links to the related policies and guidelines.
In addition, edit-warring—in particular where it involves one editor repeatedly trying to violate Wikipedia policies after others in the editing community attempt to uphold those policies—is strictly prohibited, and is a blockable offense.
If you genuinely believe that my reading of WP:V, WP:CS, WP:NOR, et al, has been wrong, then please begin a discussion with me on the article's talk page. Otherwise, stating that you intend to edit war by adding material that is an unambiguous policy violation, will get you blocked. Please do not make that necessary. Please read and learn these policies and guidelines that I've linked to you here and elsewhere. If you need further help in understanding them, then just ask. But do not edit war with other editors when you do not have a policy-based rationale for your point of disagreement. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 01:47, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- My intent was not to start an edit war, so I apologize if that was implied. I took issue with the edit being reverted due to "tone" as Some1 stated, and the revision history for the page in question suggested possible territorialism on that user's part. I see now that the rest of the page has been edited to remove uncited commentary, so I accept that as a valid reason for my edit's removal. I will not seek further action on the page. -bachwiz18

[edit]A Sun plot
[edit]Hi,
Thanks for adding the plot synopsis! I made a few small edits, but there are a few questions I had:
- I already changed this one, but the "park" wasn't a park, it was a property for sale. The big sign over it said "for sale" (but it wasn't in the subtitles).
- I don't remember the older brother and the pregnant girl having this heart-to-heart talk... can you double check? Can't find it.
- My impression is that A-Ho didn't necessarily admit to lying. In the car he says "I thought we were just going to scare him" and Radish seemed to not believe him. In any case, I think it's ambiguous?
DrIdiot (talk) 09:32, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking over it. As for your points:
- I misinterpreted the location of the meeting; I must have assumed it was a park based on the winding path through foliage he took to get to the property.
- This could be argued as misinterpretation as well. I based it on the conversation where A-Hao shares the parable of the boy in the water tank, which is given greater context from his later text to the girl before his death. I tried to simplify the intent of the conversation, perhaps poorly.
- I suppose you could argue it was more omitting the truth than lying, but the idea was to show A-Ho's guilt for forcing all the blame on Radish when it was his idea to begin with - which he did not disclose to investigators.
- In short, I don't disagree with any of your points; feel free to update them.
- bachwiz18 15:13, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- Ah, I see, so for the second point that was a different girl, his classmate. Forgot her name. For the third point, I agree it's ambiguous, but I think MOS:PLOT suggests to avoid interpretation so I would suggest omitting. Anyway I can make the changes, thanks! [edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019 in American television, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Michelle Williams, Andrew Scott and Jeremy Strong. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
