Welcome!

[edit]

Hi there, thanks for your edit changing the date format from MDY to DMY - DMY is preferred for articles about topics in Australia per the Wikipedia guideline called MOS:DATETIES.

Indeed, you don't have to tick that an edit is minor even if it is minor - I would have considered it minor personally because per Wikipedia's definition of a minor edit at Help:Minor edit, the edit didn't change the meaning of the article and it wouldn't have likely caused controversy amongst editors.

You can find more information about contributing to Wikipedia at Help:Getting started. Cheers, Fork99 (talk) 01:46, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough I guess mate
But again, why was there a closed date on there anyway?
And, you are one of the better Australian Wikipedians, so I try my best not to mess something up, and sometimes edit some grammar to Australian grammar.
But alright, see ya, V set FS (47) Productions. B set Automotive Fan 2023 (talk) 03:23, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I actually reverted the edit previous to your one that introduced that closed date, it was technically incorrect/misleading anyways. Fork99 (talk) 03:52, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Help for you

[edit]

G'day @B set Automotive Fan 2023.

You mentioned on your user page you want to protect your page.

Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that it is possible to do it. It's by source editing the page, and adding {{P-p-extended}} to the top of the page.

The bad news is that only admins can do that, and neither I, you or @Fork99 are that. Let me know if you have any questions.

Alright, thanks, V set FS47. B set Automotive Fan 2023 (talk) 06:46, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, B set!
MrActiniuM (talk) 06:52, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
One correction, I'm now known as V set FS Productions 2024, or V set in short, keep that in mind! B set Automotive Fan 2023 (talk) 06:53, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, V Set.
MrActiniuM (talk) 06:54, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@MrActiniuM: this isn't correct - I have no idea where you got this information from. Pages can only be protected by admins in accordance with Wikipedia's protection policy, and it is possible to request page protection/unprotection at WP:RFPP, but pages are not usually protected preemptively.
If you place that protection template that you mentioned on an unprotected page, a bot will eventually automatically remove it. Likewise, if an admin protects a page, but forgets to put the correct protection template, a bot usually adds the template shortly afterwards. Fork99 (talk) 07:55, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Fork99 I was talking about extended confirmed protection. MrActiniuM (talk) 08:07, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Fork99 See this link. [1] MrActiniuM (talk) 08:10, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@MrActiniuM: You're misreading what it says. It says prevents a page from being edited except by editors with the extended confirmed user access level. It does not say anything about the ability of extended confirmed users being able to place the protection themselves. Fork99 (talk) 08:12, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@MrActiniuM: There are different types of page protection, and that one means that only extended confirmed users can edit the page. See this summary table of protection types for more information, and the definition of what page protection is at the very top of the page. That page also outlines how to request an admin to protect a page, as I mentioned earlier. Fork99 (talk) 08:19, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
AH! AGHH! I'm deeply sorry mate. Better change it for @B set Automotive Fan 2023. Regrets, MrActiniuM (talk) 08:29, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's fine, I can always revert the vandle, or an admin B set Automotive Fan 2023 (talk) 08:33, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some more help for you

[edit]

Hey V Set. You just said you renamed yourself from B set to V Set. Let me know if you wanna rename your account name. I have just the tip. MrActiniuM (talk) 06:59, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am changing the wiki, but do give me the tip please B set Automotive Fan 2023 (talk) 06:59, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, here's how you do it. First type in your wikipedia search bar WP:RENAME. You will enter a help page. (Figure 1)
Figure 1
Then you scroll down to the header "Request pages". Then click on the link "Global user account rename request form". (Figure 2)
Figure 2
After that follow the instructions on the page, and when you are done, click request name change. (Figure 3)
Figure 3
After that, you are essentially done!
Sorry for the large delay, I had to gather a lot of info. Thanks.

Two Images in the Waratah?

[edit]

G'day! It seems I've been confused on either the Wikipedia article for both the A and B sets should have two images or not, please tell me if it should indeed be 2 images, or not. I'm just confused, thanks!

Hey mate, MrActiniuM here again. Yes there are supposed to be 2 images 'cuz the article is about both trains. MrActiniuM (talk) 06:45, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The 2 images were reverted by an IP adress, but feel free to restore your version! MrActiniuM (talk) 06:48, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
