Welcome
[edit]Hello, BU Qi Xue and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.
Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.
Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}}
on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.
We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! SPF121188 (talk this way) (contribs) 15:51, 23 September 2022 (UTC)

Reliable sources
[edit]Hi. I noticed that one of the sources you listed at User:BU Qi Xue/Choose an Article was from Baidu Baike. This isn't considered a reliable source for Wikipedia articles because, much like Wikipedia, it consists of user-created content. A summary is available here, with links to past discussions by the community. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:13, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Links to user pages and sandboxes
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to user pages or sandboxes, as you did at Changzhou dialect. Since these pages have not been accepted as articles, user pages, sandboxes and drafts are not suitable for linking in articles. and such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been deleted, please do not re-add any such links, thank you - Arjayay (talk) 21:44, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
Your sandbox
[edit]Hi. I noticed that you moved your sandbox to Wikipedia's article space, and then recreated it. I'm not sure what your intention was, but I moved it back to your userspace, and it's now at User:BU Qi Xue/Changzhou dialect 2. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:39, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
