Welcome
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!
Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Yuser31415 03:53, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Egregious nonsense
[edit]This may be a violation of rules, but I have this urge to try out something absurd which may get me in trouble. BSVulturis (talk) 19:34, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Incomplete DYK nomination
[edit]Hello! Your submission of Template:Did you know nominations/RR Telescopii at the Did You Know nominations page is not complete; see step 3 of the nomination procedure. If you do not want to continue with the nomination, tag the nomination page with {{db-g7}}, or ask a DYK admin. Thank you. DYKHousekeepingBot (talk) 08:01, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
You might not have seen Victuallers' comments on your DYK nomination yet. While they are not a review, the eventual reviewer will probably have similar concerns, so it would help if you addressed them soon. Many thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 13:44, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
- I've responded to your comment of a couple of days ago; I guess you didn't see that, so I'm letting you know here. Please stop by soon. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:11, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
DYK for RR Telescopii
[edit]On 27 October 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article RR Telescopii, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the star RR Telescopii increased in brightness by several magnitudes beginning around 1944, but the increase was not noticed until 1948, when it was designated Nova Telescopium 1948? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/RR Telescopii. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

[edit]Magellan semi-major orbit
[edit]Where did you get the number for the semi-major axis value that you changed the Magellan infobox parameter to? I tried to find that information elsewhere on the web and couldn't. The closest thing I was able to turn up was this planning document from the 1980s that may or may not have been accurate to the orbit the spacecraft eventually went into. If you could provide a source, I'd appreciate it. Tisnec (talk) 18:50, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
