Order of interwiki links
[edit]Hi, there is curently no consensus on en about the order of the interwiki links, so it's best not to change it by bot. Rich Farmbrough 20:51 26 April 2006 (UTC).
Alameda, California
[edit]Please do not add es:Alameda (California) as a link for Alameda, California. The article in Spanish is about Alameda County, California. Thanks! Argyriou (talk) 03:36, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Automated message to bot owners
[edit]As a result of discussion on the village pump and mailing list, bots are now allowed to edit up to 15 times per minute. The following is the new text regarding bot edit rates from Wikipedia:Bot Policy:
Until new bots are accepted they should wait 30-60 seconds between edits, so as to not clog the recent changes list and user watchlists. After being accepted and a bureaucrat has marked them as a bot, they can edit at a much faster pace. Bots doing non-urgent tasks should edit approximately once every ten seconds, while bots who would benefit from faster editing may edit approximately once every every four seconds.
Also, to eliminate the need to spam the bot talk pages, please add Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard to your watchlist. Future messages which affect bot owners will be posted there. Thank you. --Mets501 00:41, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
OSHA
[edit]PLease do not add es:Agencia Europea para la Seguridad y la Salud en el Trabajo as a link for Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Spanish article is about an agency in the EU. The English article is about an agency of the US Federal Government. Pzavon 01:39, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Request
[edit]- Hi, I am not familiar with the Bot process and what or who I have to ask, so please forgive me if I am asking something not possible. What I wanted to do was use the Bot to go through the Category:UFOs and clean up all the articles there and all the articles in its subcategories automatically ... we have already discussed this option in the wikiproject paranormal talk page ( here ) and I was directed to go to an actual Bot discussion page(s) and request clean up here (which is why I am here) -Nima Baghaei talk · cont · email 21:45, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Andrenidae
[edit]Please stop your bot from modifying the Andrenidae article; the bot is incorrectly spelling the Spanish name, which is identical to the English. Dyanega (talk) 20:29, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
please stop trying to change Death's-head Hawkmoth article
[edit]Hello. The changes you are trying to make automatically to the Death's-head Hawkmoth article are not appropriate: they belong in the Acherontia atropos article (which is specific to that one particular species), NOT the Acherontia article, which refers to multiple species other than A. atropos. Please fix your bot. Dyanega (talk) 22:41, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Query
[edit]I need help renaming about 200 articles. Doing this by hand would take me all day.
Can your bot rename articles, or be adapted to do so?
If so, please contact me.
Thank you.

Bernhard Weiss in pt
[edit]Please don't link Berhard Weiss in en to Bernhard Weiss in pt. They are different people; the pt article refers to a Jewish jurist who escaped Nazi Germany, and appears not to be represented in en. The pt article is iw'ed to the wrong article in 3 languages, but I haven't fixed that. I reverted your reversion. David Brooks (talk) 17:40, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Dead links
[edit]Hi, could you look at the edits made by this bot on August 15, a very high proportion of them appear to be dead (they are showing as redlinks in the edit summaries). I am not sure of the rules for interwiki links but adding links that do not exist seems wrong. Thanks Drappel (talk) 18:41, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
