License tagging for File:2008july4.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:2008july4.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:22, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

It would be preferable if you watch any uploaded images instead of leaving it for more than a year to ask questions about its deletion. ww2censor (talk) 04:04, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
That image was there for over a year before it was deleted. Sorry, the instructions simply are unclear although I'm certain they are not for those that have helped create the entry. If they're too obtuse for a guy that went to Princeton, you can be sure that others are put off by them, too. Please add a simple instruction that says, "If you add something for which you own the copyright because you are the author/photographer/artist/etc., include XXX positioned YYY." Well we are awaiting what license you want to grant on File:2008july4.jpg. It can be restored if you want to give everyone a free license such as CC-BY-SA-3.0. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:28, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, Graeme, I'm sure that would be fine. What do I need to do? Cheers - Bob BAlfson (talk) 21:48, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
