- Thanks for the warm welcome! Feel free to use my real name (Rob) rather than my username. If you ever need a typo correcter/proof reader/rewriter, give me a shout. B33R 15:16, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Then feel free to check out WP:TYPO, Rob. :) Best wishes, Firsfron of Ronchester 18:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your note, Rob. Unfortunately, I'm from "across the pond" and know absolutely nothing about that TV series. So I can't truly give you any sort of recommendation. But the edits look fine to me, based on what I saw. Firsfron of Ronchester 22:11, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- Found something. Try to use edit summaries when you edit (in the edit summary text box) so people will know why you're editing the page. Everything else seems quite solid. :) Firsfron of Ronchester 00:24, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request
This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 22:12, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Freddie Mercury
Hi B33R,
Thanks for your notes. Sorry it took me a while to get back to you; I know absolutely nothing about this subject, so I wanted to review the article more closely before getting involved in any way. I've reviewed the edits, and they don't appear partularly actionable to me. I didn't see any recent breaking of the WP:3RR rule. The Americanization of the spelling could be problematic, but is there really a need for a revert war over spelling or punctuation? Yes, it is recommended that articles which are on British subjects should use Commonwealth spelling, and articles on American subjects U.S. spelling, but these changes are hardly a disturbance, right? Furthermore, making many edits also isn't an offence: we actually try to encourage people to edit.
I see there is much discussion about this on Talk:Freddie Mercury, and that user:Sparkhead has posted a note on Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Queen. Let a wider consensus develop; "two versus one" isn't really enough of a poll. If the IP is still editing American spellings after a greater consensus against it has been reached, that could be actionable. Just try to remember this guy is trying to improve the article, even if you may not agree with the changes. If there are serious problems I have missed, do contact me and I'll rectify it. Link spam
67.167.83.166 (Talk) (Contribs) has been relentlessly adding spam links for fansites over the past few months. He was warned once in August by another editor and I warned him a few days, since then he's continued spamming links. In his recent edits he's removed the official site link, IMDb link and all the references in the article, Paulina Rubio, as well as adding more fansite links to Danity Kane and 8th & Ocean.
What is the next move? Do I need to give him a final spam warning or can he just be banned now? Thanks for your help. —B33R(talk • contribs) 20:46, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've blocked the account for a month. Link spam cannot be tolerated. Thanks for the alert. Best, Firsfron of Ronchester 22:49, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for the welcome and advice. Having the occupation parameter in infobox actor doesn't make much sense so I understand it now. Thanks for the explanation. Boghat 22:10, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

about the deletion of 24gr article
i understand that you as wikipedia do not advertise or support external links but i dont understand why some external links are added and some are not
for example at the 24 tv series article, at tony almeida page you left intact the external link to almeidaisgod.com
why is that?
are you a judge of quality or something?
almeidaisgod.com is just another bullshit site about a little girl that kisses the screen when she watches carlos bernard
24gr.atspace.com is the one and only active poll in the entire internet about the popularity of every character in 24
so i think you should have added it
or at least you should have thought about it instead of just deleting everything within seconds
if you want to have a free internet encyclopedia let it free

Michael Richards TMZ footage
why remove the link to the TMZ footage? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.252.66.134 (talk) 16:49, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Jerry Seinfeld talk page edits
Which is why I removed it.. and it must have been on the page for a few minutes, if not seconds.
p.s a talk page can have mistakes... which is why it's a 'talk' page... it would be a lot worse adding false information to an article.. so you should not post messages to people asking them not to post 'nonsense' if they were genuinely trying to make a contribution, it's patronising, supercillious and unnecessary.
Thanks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 193.203.82.226 (talk) 09:51, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi I found out about that guy 85.210.3.87 he was trying to hack into you account he lives in United Kingdom in Oxfordshire Oxford just though you wanted to know.--Pediaguy16 00:26, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
So quick to jump to conclusions.
Hi, I was the person using that IP address (by the way I am not in Oxford so not sure where you got that from). As i explained on the chat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:85.210.3.87). My usual online alias is b33r and i couldnt remember if i had an account or not, tried signing in with my usual passwords, didnt work, then clicked email password and when i didn't recieve email i realised it wasn't mine and created a new account. If you think that counts as a hack attempt I think you guys need to chill.
Anyway sorry if i caused any problems

Problems with User 68.88.68.110
This guy keeps vandalising the Ramones page and template, by adding an unsourced member to the band. When a source proved said member was not part of the band, he deleted the source. I have asked him repeatedly to stop be he has added back this wrongful information countless times.
The person who he claims is in the band is Billy Rogers. You can look at the history of that page to see his vandalism. The history of the Ramones page will also identify this.Hoponpop69 03:51, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
