You deleted two mentions of the obsolete 19th century usage of 'Malay race' to mean 'Austronesian people'. Your edit summary,
- Austronesian is different from malay concept, malay are part of Austronesian but not the whole Austronesian
is precisely the point that was being made. In particular, the first paragraph of the Malay race article,
- The concept of a Malay race (Malay: Bangsa Melayu) was proposed by the German scientist Johann Friedrich Blumenbach (1752-1840) to refer to the people now called Austronesians. Since Blumenbach, many anthropologists have rejected his theory of five races, citing the enormous complexity of classifying races. However, the term Malay is still often used in this context, and it is the basis for Malay identity within the Malaysian nation.
makes no sense without the bit you removed (here italicized). I've put it back -- Ngio (talk) 15:17, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh, and since you seem to be new here I'd like to say welcome too. Don't take it amiss that I undid some of your contributions. It happens to us all from time to time. -- Ngio (talk) 20:54, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
