Hello. Questions asked here are answered here, too.
Cassiquiare
[edit]The image is from the 2.nd vol. of HUMBOLDT, Alexander von; BONPLAND, Aimé. Voyage aux régions équinoxiales du nouveau continent, fait en 1799, 1800, 1801, 1802, 1803 et 1804. Paris : F. Schoell, 1814-1820.
I believe the same image must be in the English version of the same work: Personal Narrative of Travels to the Equinoctial Regions of America, During the Year 1799-1804. Angrense (talk) 21:50, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Please be civil.
[edit]You wrote, "Much bigger. Who cares, it will never happen. Next black hole question, please." on the reference desk. Something like this can easily be considered incivil. Please learn to phrase your comments in a more polite way. ScienceApe (talk) 21:39, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Not necessary, as the slight incivil tone was deliberate. I will even repeat it with the next LHC+black hole question that is obviously silly. Please consider letting me play the bad guy in such cases. --Ayacop (talk) 07:44, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- No, incivility is not tolerated on the reference desk. Please don't do it. ScienceApe (talk) 00:41, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Image:Coumarine17t2.png.
Nochmals Danke.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
