The article DataBlack has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No indication of notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Brainy J ~✿~ (talk) 16:55, 16 February 2014 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]I know this is coming across as kind of harsh on you, but let me see if I can level with you. I've been there before.
To get right to the point: Your articles on this artist do not substantiate their notability. I added the WP:MYSPACEBAND tag to the main artist page because there is no justification given as to why the artist is covered here on Wikipedia, and the page itself reads very much like a WP:MYSPACEBAND example would (using terms that glorify the subject while imparting no real information, in particular).
I also reverted your removal of the tag because, while PRODs can be permanently rejected just by removing them, you only removed my supportive template; you did not contest the PROD entirely, which if you had I would have left it alone. Still, that probably wouldn't have saved it from going to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where a discussion would take place as to whether the content's presence on Wikipedia is justified.
I know you're new around here, so I'm trying to be as understanding as I can. If people raise policy-based concerns about the articles you create, please try to listen to them instead of reverting them and not explaining why. Hope that helps! LazyBastardGuy 16:46, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hey, don't worry about it. You're new, it's understandable. One problem I see a lot is more experienced Wikipedians (and I apologize if I've done this to you) tend to be short-fused when it comes to dealing with newbies. We even have a guideline about it: Wikipedia:Don't bite the newcomers.
- You don't have to refrain from creating content altogether. One thing you can do is go to Wikipedia:Articles for creation, where you basically submit article ideas and get feedback. I've never used it myself, but I've heard it works. Also, if you want you can refrain from creating new content in the short term, but just skim Wikipedia, fix errors wherever you see them and browse plenty of featured and good articles to see how we do things around here. I wrote my first GA a little while ago, and it was promoted to good article status because I looked at and helped-out on lots of articles of the type I was trying to build (it was a music album article).
- But my first is also my only one so far. I've got plenty more work to do. A good Wikipedian is not born overnight; it's taken me a long time to come around and there are still some topic areas I wouldn't touch right now because I don't have as much experience with them.
- In any case, if you want to get a feel for how we do things around here, you can visit the Teahouse, or you can even go to Adopt-a-user, where even more experienced Wikipedians take newer ones such as yourself under their wing. Don't worry - learning your way around isn't difficult, and adding to the pool of human knowledge can be fun and a rewarding experience.
- As for your current articles... well, maybe it's just too soon. Don't let it get to you. There may come a time when the articles you're trying to create will be able to stay, but as of right now that doesn't appear to be the case. Doesn't mean it won't ever happen, though, so keep your chin up.
- And since you asked: There are lots of ways you can respond to other editors. A favorite avenue for discussion is the talk page (for example, you edited mine, and I have edited yours). Every article has a talk page associated with it; if the link at the top of the page is red then that means the talk page hasn't been started yet, but anyone can start it. Edit summaries are used to describe the changes an editor makes on a particular edit (make it brief since there's not a whole lot of space). For more information you can use those links.
- I hope you decide to stick around and give those links I posted a look-see. You'll be an expert at editing here before you know it. LazyBastardGuy 17:44, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
