Do not create articles about living people that are entirely negative in tone and unsourced. Wikipedia has a policy of verifiability and any negative information we use must be reliably sourced, and our articles must be balanced. Negative, unreferenced biographies of living people, along with other attack pages, are not tolerated by Wikipedia, and users who create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy may be blocked from editing. Speedy deletion nomination of Gheorghe Humă

[edit]

Hello Awomanuensis,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Gheorghe Humă for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Request for Deletion Review: Gheorghe Humă
I am writing to request the review of the recent speedy deletion of the Wikipedia page titled "Gheorghe Humă." The page was deleted on 23rd of January, 2024 with the reason given as "promotional rather than an encyclopaedic article."
I understand the importance of maintaining high standards for content on Wikipedia and agree that the page, as it stood, was not ready for publication. However, I want to clarify that the deletion was a result of a mistake on my part and that I never intended to publish the article in its current state.
The page was simply a rough draft in progress, and I was still gathering information and writing content. Due to a misunderstanding, I accidentally saved the draft publicly instead of keeping it private in my user sandbox. I sincerely apologise for this error and any inconvenience it may have caused.
Since the deletion, I now recognise that the draft contained what appeared to be promotional elements and that it lacked the necessary encyclopedic qualities and I have begun reviewing and revising the content to ensure it adheres to Wikipedia's guidelines for biographies and neutral point of view. Also, I am actively collecting a range of reliable sources to support the information presented in the article and I am confident that with further work, the "Gheorghe Humă" page can be developed into a well-sourced and informative Wikipedia article.
I would be grateful if the Deletion Review Committee could consider restoring the page so I can continue working on it and eventually submit it for proper review through the established processes.
Thank you for your valuable time and consideration, it is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Awomanuensis Awomanuensis (talk) 16:19, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like your sock puppet/sock master is working on it as Draft:Gheorghe Humă . -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:50, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am writing to appeal the recent block placed on my account, Awomanuensis. I understand that the block was issued due to the creation of a page on "Fdetensor".
I want to sincerely apologise for this mistake. I created my page as a draft at the request of my friend for assistance with creating Wikipedia pages as we are both new to the process and then I accidentally published the rough, first draft page I was using to learn how to best structure the page.
I understand that this inadvertently violated Wikipedia's policies and procedures, I am still learning about Wikipedia's guidelines for creating new articles, and I made some errors in understanding the proper processes.
I will carefully read the criteria for new pages, paying particular attention to the requirements for disclosing legitimate collaboration. I also now understand that I can contact a Wikipedia mentor to seek guidance on how to contribute responsibly and in accordance with the community's expectations and will do so in future.
Therefore, I kindly request that you reconsider the block on my account and I thank you again for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,

Request reason:

Appeal for unblock - Awomanuensis Dear Administrators, I am writing to appeal my recent block for allegedly using my account for advertising or promotion. I understand the importance of Wikipedia's neutrality policy and would never intentionally violate it. In this case, the edits I made concerned the page of Gheorghe Humă, a highly accomplished figure in the field of bodybuilding. My intention was solely to create a comprehensive and informative biography honouring his achievements and contributions to the sport. Unfortunately, I now realise that certain aspects of my edits might have come across as promotional, unintentionally overshadowing the factual content. I deeply regret any misunderstandings my edits may have caused. I have reviewed Wikipedia's policies on neutrality and advertising (WP:NOTADVERTISING and WP:SPAM) and fully understand the expectations for contributors. I am committed to adhering to these guidelines in all future edits. Moving forward, I would like to contribute to Wikipedia in a more constructive way. I am particularly interested in expanding and improving biographies of noteworthy individuals in the fitness and athletic domains, ensuring neutrality and factual accuracy in all my contributions. I kindly request that you reconsider my block and grant me the opportunity to demonstrate my commitment to Wikipedia's principles. I am confident that I can be a valuable asset to the community. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Awomanuensis Awomanuensis (talk) 9:42 am, Today (UTC−5)

Decline reason:

1) CHATBOT requests are often declined out of hand. 2) You will not be unblocked to edit about this subject until you can show the ability to not make promotional edits. Please describe what constructive, non promotional edits you would make about a subject with which you have no outside connection. Thanks -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:41, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Information icon Hello, Awomanuensis, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Fdetensor (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:44, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disclosure of Connection - Fdetensor Page

[edit]

I want to disclose that I initially created my user sandbox in collaboration with my friend Fdetensor and that I then unintentionally published my sandbox draft as a finished article page.

Both of us are new to Wikipedia and are learning about the platform together. As part of our learning process, we decided to experiment by me first creating an account and sandbox to gain practical experience with Wikipedia's structure, referencing and citation procedures as a way to familiarise ourselves with the requirements for structuring and citing sources on a Wikipedia page.

I now see how collaborating on creating my user sandbox and draft page, which I then unintentionally published, with a friend who later created their own Wikipedia account raises potential concerns about conflict of interest.

I can assure Wikipedia that I am committed to adhering to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, particularly regarding collaboration, objectivity and transparency.

Sincerely, Awomanuensis
