I stole this from Kralizec!. I hope he does not mind. Thanks, Awhit003 00:54, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No worries! In the finest tradition of the internet, I got it from someone else.  :-) --Kralizec! (talk) 06:05, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to see that you have registered and pitched in to help make Wikipedia a better place! Regarding your message on my talk page, no one specifically checks your work, however many editors like to keep the pages they are interested in on their watchlist. "Bad" edits or vandalism are often caught either this way, or by recent changes patrollers. To see how other editors react to your changes, you can go back and look at the history of the pages you have edited. Do not worry if you make a mistake, as it is a learning process. Good luck, have fun, and be bold! --Kralizec! (talk) 06:05, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Soldier's Creed

[edit]

I looked at the article again. The whole thing about the controversy probably should be in there, except that the aticle says nothing about why it is controversial. It raised some eyebrows because of the removal of language about maintaining ethical behavior. The London Times article is a dead link now, but I had looked at it when it was still up. Some retired generals weren't too happy with the new version. The infoclearinghouse.info article is a less reputable source in my opinion, but the controversy is true, though hardly anything appoaching a scandal.--Nobunaga24 23:06, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My son age 17 has talked to a recruiter and wants to enlist in the Army has a tank driver. I'm retired Air Force Major and not to sure about this. If he wants to go into the Army, I would prefer him to go through Army ROTC like his older brother.

If you could shed any light about an Army tank driver, I would really appreciate it. You can reach me at majrod@ufl.edu.

Some questions I have are: Is there a minimum age before you can drive a tank? Are you guarenteed to drive a tank or can they make you as just a crew member? Are you guarenteed to drive a tank or can they make you drive a different vehicle? How cramped and hot does it get in the tank? What is the retention rate? Do most tank drivers like thier job or would they chose a different MOS if they could go back and start over? How many days out of a year are you away from home? How hard/easy is it do work on getting a degree while being a tank driver? What are the pros and cons of being a tank driver?

Thanks.

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:50, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
