Notability of Terry hershey
[edit]A tag has been placed on Terry hershey, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. andy 09:17, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- It wasn't me who deleted it, I only nominated it for deletion. See WP:DL for who did it. You should also read WP:N carefully first to understand the criteria for notability. From what I remember of this article you'll have a hard time showing that the subject is notable in the way that Wikipedia requires. andy 16:32, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- I've restored it but please note that if you don't assert notability adequately then the article will be deleted again. All the best. The Rambling Man 16:46, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
An {{afd}} tag has been placed on Terry Hershey, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. All Wikipedians can join the debate at Articles for deletion, where articles asserted to be inappropriate to Wikipedia are discussed. You are encouraged to submit your opinion, and remember that Articles for Deletion debates are not a vote. You can also leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the deletion tag yourself, but don't feel inhibited from editing the article, particularly if doing so makes it clear that it is a useful contribution to an encyclopaedia. andy 11:01, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
