In response to your feedback

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I'm sorry that your first experience of editing has been frustrating. Luckily there are lots of people around who are willing to help. You can stop by the Teahouse where new users can ask questions to experienced editors in a comfortable and non-threatening environment. You might also want to visit the help desk or browse the help pages.

The article Rhys Jones (mountaineer) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username (4cancergroup) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to represent 4 Cancer Group, a UK registered charity.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Escape Orbit (Talk) 21:41, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual. It also appears that your account is intended to be used for the purpose of telling the world about an organization or cause that you consider worthwhile. Unfortunately, many good causes are not sufficiently notable for their own Wikipedia article, and all users are discouraged from editing in any area where they have an inherent conflict of interest, though you may wish to consider one of these alternative outlets.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you.

Username change

[edit]

Hi, 4cancergroup. I never enjoy making people run around, but the next time you log in you should submit a request for a change of username. Our current policies don't allow names that appear to represent organizations, and such is often treated seriously. If you have trouble with the instructions on the linked page, feel free to ask me for help on this page. Regards, NTox · talk 06:09, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NToz and Orange Mike - As a newbie to Wikipedia, I'm sorry for all the trouble I have caused. I genuinely want to contribute to Wikipedia and plan to add content that is useful and worthwhile for people in my local area. If you can change my username and unblock my account I would be very grateful. Many thanks 4cancergroup (talk) 06:44, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 07:03, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
