Sorting categories
[edit]I have made an effort towards cleaning up the many categories regarding awards in general and orders in particular. Maybe you would like to help? The categories were too cluttered to be of help to anyone. There is no need for an article to be listed in both a category and it's parent category. Let me give an example for how the structure is best implemented: the article
- Royal Norwegian Order of St Olav is in
- Category:Order of St. Olav which is in
The common starting point being Category:Awards
This way a reader can follow the category tree along both the type of award and the country of origin. It is tempting to advertise an article by placing it in every possible category, but placing each article in each possible parent category will only clutter up the categories and make it very difficult for a reader to locate particular articles using the category system.
