Repost of 2greendollars
[edit] A tag has been placed on 2greendollars requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. No
[edit]While I nominated 2greedollars for speedy deletion, as being about a subject that had already been deleted for non-notability several times before under the Anthony Chidiac name, it was not I who actually deleted the article. That was User:Lankiveil, who actually deleted the article; see the most recent AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2greendollars.
I would probably not be inclined to WP:REFUND the deleted article in any case. Under one name or the other, the article has been deleted three times already after full discussions for lack of notability. It was not deleted for purely housekeeping reasons or in AfDs with small participation. I don't see it as likely that this particular entertainer will qualify for a mainspace article. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 16:50, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- I nominated that article for speedy deletion because it had already been deleted three times before for lack of notability, and the re-submission of material that's already been deleted after full discussion is indeed grounds for speedy deletion. Since this has happened three times before, it's pretty much established that this entertainer is not notable enough for a Wikipedia article, and will not have one. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 15:48, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- You remain free to request that the article be restored to your user space at the WP:REFUND page, and you may find another admin who disagrees with my assessment, but I don't think you will find a taker. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 15:52, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- I must agree with User:Ihcoyc - the article in question was in most places a word for word version of an article that had previously been deleted through the consensus of the community, and as such was valid for deletion. Wikipedia is, by design, not a democracy, and it has editorial standards which need to be enforced. Lankiveil (speak to me) 06:55, 13 August 2011 (UTC).
- I still have to disagree. The fact of the matter is that the article you created was in most sports a word-for-word copy of the previously deleted item. And the previously deleted item was deleted not once but three times as a self-promotional article, in all cases where the discussion was disrupted by multiple sockpuppets, or people thought to be associated with Anthony Chidiac. If you think I'm being terribly unfair, deletion review is an avenue that is available to you, however I think most experienced Wikipedia editors will see this the same way that I do. Thanks for the heads up. I agree, that is unambiguous advertising. AfD started. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 15:13, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
Josh Harris article
[edit]Hi. I see you templated the Josh Harris (internet) article as "Unencyclopedic" in May 2011. I'm trying to encourage discussion and action on the issue at the talk page. If you feel that the article is still wholly or partly inappropriate, I suggest simply removing the offending content since much time has elapsed. Otherwise, proposing the article for deletion is a possibility. Lacking more discussion, I plan to remove the "Unencyclopedic" template. Thought you should know. Cheers! --Ds13 (talk) 22:04, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.
(Not all that awful. An IP editor made legal threats concerning your statement on my talk page from back in September. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 20:53, 30 April 2012 (UTC))
