User talk:AuthorKenStandfield
December 2018
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. shoy (reactions) 21:21, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Question
[edit]Do you plan on contributing to this encyclopedia outside of attempting to publish your autobiography? --Kinu t/c 23:36, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
Answer: Thank you for your question Kinu. This is my first article here, I plan on contributing to Wikipedia extensively and becoming a reviewer when I gain the required skills. I have no interest in self-promotion, I have just used approved living author formats so that this can get approved - I would appreciate your guidance on how to get this page approved. I will change (remove/add) anything required to progress past this page. I have made many contributions to knowledge and want to share them with the international community
- Thank you for your response. In short, attempts to publish an autobiography are generally frowned upon. I feel that your energy would be better served in contributing to articles in your area of expertise. Perhaps some of your publications could be used as citations for/to expand related articles? A good place to begin would be to discuss such additions on article talk pages (to avoid the impression of conflict of interest). --Kinu t/c 16:33, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
Response: Thank you Kinu, I will do so. Many thanks. AuthorKenStandfield (talk) 07:29, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
