Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Aulonocara, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]

Request reason:

My account was blocked in error. I was using this account to update the Gary Young page for a third party and ceased to make edits to that page after stating that I would to the Admin Greyfell. I kept my promise and never made edits to that page or any other page since then. I do not know who the other people are who made edits to the page since I stopped and I do not have any affiliation with any other people or accounts. Decline reason:

The technical evidence firmly establishes sockpuppetry. Please try again with a more honest unblock request. Yamla (talk) 13:28, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I agree that the technical evidence would indicate sockpuppetry because the company I was working with at the time I was making the edits, continued to try to edit the page after I left the company in September. They appear to have tried using other accounts to make edits and would have done so with the same IP address. If you follow the history of edits to the page in question, you will see that edits from my account ceased after I agreed to stop at the beginning of August. They must have continued to try to edit the page using other accounts after I explained to them that doing so could result in accounts being blocked. I had no involvement with the company or editing the page after I telling Greyfell that I would stop, and had no involvement with any other account that was used to edit the Gary Young article. This is the complete and honest truth of what happened. Aulonocara (talk) 16:42, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Thank you for confirming that you engaged in undeclared paid editing, which not only violates the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use and our policies but is also unethical. It won't get you unblocked, though. Huon (talk) 00:59, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
