Explanation of reverts

Hi! I noticed that one of Wikipedia's bots reverted your contributions at sign singing. I wanted to explain why this happened.

What ultimately caused this was likely the addition of a YouTube link. These tend to be automatically reverted because in most cases the scene was uploaded by someone who did not own the media's copyright, which was the case with the video of the Happy Hands Club scene. Even if that person says that the copyright is held by someone else, it's still considered to be a copyright violation per Wikipedia's guidelines, so we can't use the link. A better option is to find a written source that says the same thing, as those are more accessible as a whole. You can use video sources, but because you have to verify that the person uploading the video is the copyright holder, it can be difficult.

Also, be very careful with sourcing. It's always good to get an independent source, as this can help verify that the claims are legitimate. (The exception here would be if we had something that was created by Jared Hess that backs up the claims. It would be primary, but it would be a little more legit since he created the film.) The reason for this is that a primary source can make many claims, but sometimes they're not always true or the truth is stretched a little to be more complimentary or tell a better tale. In this situation I'd be surprised if the claims weren't true, but without an independent source it's hard to 100% verify this.
