Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Fedayeen al-Islam, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Help request

[edit]

I've moved the following help request from User talk:Bhadani to your own talk page; I'll answer it here.  Chzz  ►  04:38, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have offered help before, and sent me my first welcome, thanks== I have written part of the page on the Jamrud Mosque attack. Someone had added a ref which was not from the story I had read before al Jazeera knew of the attack. I have seen another photo that showed that the minarettes of the mosque were standing as well. there was no text saying this as no one had commented on what was in the photos. I wrote what I saw in the photo. Problem is that I have obviously messed up as the ref is in red. I do not know how to correct this. Can you help me. Atmamatma (talk) 04:25, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I will look at this problem, and reply here very soon.  Chzz  ►  04:38, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have now fixed the reference for you, with this edit.
References should be enclosed between , for example;
Chzz is the best helper in the world

Tips on referencing

There are lots of ways to do this, some are simple, some more complex.

Personally, I like using citation templates, and fill in as much as I possibly can; maybe a bit more work, but I think it looks better. You have a . An example usage is;

For all the possible things to include, see Template:Citation

Of course, you don't have to put everything in, just whatever you can. The above example is a book, but I've included a 'convenience link' to a website that displays it.

Then, at the end of the document (but before any 'category' tags), you need a references section. You just put,

References
reflist

Hard work? - help is at hand. There are lots of tools that create cite tags automagically. Personally, I use Zotero for the web links, and the cite book generator for books.

I also recommend you look at other articles and copy from them - especially featured articles, which should have good refs.

Hope this help, cheers,  Chzz  ►  04:49, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How to get help

[edit]

The helpme template should be used here, on your own talk page. Simply create a new section at the end of your page, and put helpme followed by your question. A user will respond as quickly as possible.

For an even quicker response, you can always talk to us live.

Cheers,  Chzz  ►  04:52, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

YOu questioned my reversal of your edit with this edit. I reversed your edit because it was incorrectly labelled as minor. "A minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute". I notice that you also labelled your comments on my talk page as minor.[1] Incidentally content disputes should be discussed on article talk pages, not user talk pages. I am replying on your talk page however because it is not a content issue, but the labelling of an edit. The labelling of the edit is important because some editors do not track minor edits and they should be given the opportunity of reviewing your recent changes. Hi. When you recently edited Werner von Blomberg, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Nun (letter) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • a genocidal persecution of Iraqi Christians and Yadizis) has begun. As ISIS took control of Mosul, Christians were given the choice of converting to Islam

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
