Welcome...
Hello, Atit ghoda, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reliable sources. So when you're writing the article, please remember to attribute your content to reliable sources so that it can be verified. There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date (but remember that you shouldn't sign your contributions in an article). If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! Ncmvocalist (talk) 14:51, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Re: but wat if the source isnt a website?
[edit]Hi again. As long as those books fit the description of a reliable source, as detailed here, then that's fine as long as you give enough details of the book (author, title, year it was published, edition if any, publisher, pages). Remember to make sure that none of your statements are made out of original research, because the threshold for including content on Wikipedia is verifiability rather than truth. ;) You can use citation templates if that helps - see here to get started. Good luck! Ncmvocalist (talk) 15:55, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
