Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! --Siva1979Talk to me 15:24, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Edit requests
[edit]Hello, Atifansar! I noticed you placed an edit request on the article page Five-year plans of China a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for being open about your connection to the cited source. Please note, though, that the template and the proposed edit should both go on the Talk page (over your signature), not in the article itself (where edits should never be signed). I’ve left your addition in for the time being, while moving the request template to the Talk page for further review by someone more knowledgeable about the subject. According to my understanding of the relevant policies you are not actually required to use the edit-request process when citing your own work (especially if it was published in a reliable source subject to peer review, as seems to be the case here), although I believe it’s still recommended that you declare your involvement in an edit summary or on the Talk page, to invite extra scrutiny; see WP:SELFCITE.—Odysseus1479 21:57, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
Serious concerns
[edit]@Atifansar: Hi There. This is regarding the list of your contributions, with all article space contributions having been reverted, either by myself, or by other editors. Note: This has been stated on relevant talkpages, but I wish to repeat it here - You should not insert such content into the article, instead proposing it on the talk page. You may also wish to review relevant guidelines - Wikipedia is not a place where essays are published, nor a scientific journal. Else, issues of undue weight may be present. I suggest that you view the wikilinks before implementing similar edits. Regards, VB00 (talk) 13:12, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
