Lead

  • Good start to your introductory paragraph! Your lead could be further expanded to include introductions to your article's major topics.

Content

  • In articles about a species, there is usually a section on taxonomy. I think that your article could benefit from this section to add more background on what a Nighthawk is in an evolutionary sense. This goes along with your "types of nighthawk" paragraph, but instead elaborate on what other species are closely related to nighthawks. There is currently a taxonomy section, but it could use some more explanation.
  • Do these birds travel together in groups during migration?
  • Are there any threats to Nighthawks? It may be beneficial to include information on how/if humans have had an impact on this species, how common they currently are, are they endangered, etc.

Tone and Balance

  • I think your tone sounds really professional! Your additions definitely improved the overall tone of the article.
  • very neutral tone and based in facts, which is good!

Sources and References

  • The original article was very lacking in appropriate sources, but I think the addition of your new sources greatly improved the credibility of this article.
  • All of your sources seem to be very credible

Organization

  • The taxonomy section should be moved to the beginning of the article, after the lead.

Images and Media

  • I noticed in your outline you mentioned adding pictures, but your draft doesn't currently include them. If you wanted to add pictures, you could add pictures on distributions of where Nighthawks are located.

Overall Impressions

  • You have a very solid article with a lot of well backed up facts. I think you improved your starting article significantly! Keep up the good work!
