Lachesis Falling
[edit]I'm sorry to hear that you're taking the deletion discussion for Lachesis Falling so hard. Please understand that Wikipedia's "prod" and "afd" deletion process is not driven by one user; on the contrary, both the prod tag (which I originally added), and the AfD deletion listing is designed to generate discussion by multiple editors to determine whether an article should stay or go. The idea is to hopefully attract a wide range of regular WP editors who may have knowledge on the topic that the nominator (in this case, myself) does not.
Notability isn't an exact science, but there are agreed upon guidelines. The one I referenced is WP:WEB (<-- that's a clickable link, btw), but you can also see WP:NOTABILITY for other guidelines.
The difference between Rose Colored Glass and Lachesis Falling is that RCG was at one point quite notable, whereas it appears that LF is yet to be notable. If after perusing the guidelines you feel that LF is truly notable, however, feel free to chime in at the discussion (here), citing appropriate links or other evidence of notability.
Again, please try not to take this too personally. Many a Wikipedian has started off by creating an article about themselves or their website, only to have it deleted. Regardless of the outcome of this AfD discussion, I hope you decide to stay and make other contributions to Wikipedia. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns --AbsolutDan (talk) 05:04, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Comment
[edit]About your comments, with Absolutdan, just a quick comment: If you keep trying hard, you will be mentioned and Wikipedia will be one of the last things on your mind. Good luck! Yanksox (talk) 05:15, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}

I noticed that you commented on Crazy Russian's talk page that you said you were the creator of Lachesis Falling. In order to maintain a completely unbiased encyclopedia we usually discourage people closely involved with a particular topic to write the wikipedia article for it. If you have more questions about wikipedia feel free to reply to me on my talk page. Regards, Charlie( t | e ) 05:17, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- In fact, we appreciate your civility, so please don't yell at people anymore. Also, the feeling you expressed to Dan is embodied in WP:CHILL. Check it out. - CrazyRussian talk/email 05:19, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Another option
[edit]I'm glad that you're so understanding of the process here. I would like to mention that on your user page, you can add (within reason) a great deal more detail about yourself and your projects than you can in the normal namespace. You can access your user page at any time by clicking on your username at the top (it should be next to the icon of a person). I hope this helps! --AbsolutDan (talk) 05:25, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
