Rolex edit
[edit]Wikipedia is a place of proven facts and truth, not a platform to "beautify" a brand's reputation which most of the time they already did in their own respective websites. You may want to publish your own blog or website if you're trying to do the same as what the brands did. Thank you. Lioneagle13 (talk) 04:06, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
My edits are not about "beautifying" the brand's reputation. We are talking about the "Notable inventions and patents" section. But in 5 out of 7 list entries, what the section does is to list broad categories of things that others did first instead of actually listing real Rolex patent / Rolex firsts. In its current form, the section is a criticism section rather than a section listing Rolex inventions and patents. I fully agree that the Rolex advertisement is misleading and this could be described in a criticism section. However, there are notable inventions and patents as well as described in my edits. So I don't think this section should be turned into a criticism section. Please also see the Rolex Talk page for further details. My edits make a couple of the list entries more precise by listing the actual patents or the actual Rolex firsts. All of these edits are supported by independent references. If you think there are biased opinions, please point out which parts in particular you think are biased. Asnelt (talk) 12:09, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. SpencerT•C 06:15, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
