February 2015

[edit]

Hello, I'm Donner60. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Celts (modern)  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 05:30, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, mistake. I removed more than the dead link - thanks.Askatuga (talk) 05:34, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information table

[edit]

I searched really so long for this information tables, but didn't found them. Either I am blind or I don't know. Could you show me the table with the link? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 4K9.3.70J2.7V1 (talkcontribs) 13:23, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Follow the link to the Supplementary information at the bottom of the paper viewed online (click link in reference):

http://www.nature.com/ejhg/journal/v19/n1/suppinfo/ejhg2010146s1.html

Then click on the Supplementary table S4 link: http://www.nature.com/ejhg/journal/v19/n1/extref/ejhg2010146x5.xls

This is the data that they based the maps in the paper on and their conclusions. I find the data used much more enlightening than the paper itself.Askatuga (talk) 02:12, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much! I really searched so long. I have googled to find out more, but what I found was only this -> 2x R1b-M343 (Kurdish village Dogukoy*/Central Anatolia in Gokcumen et al., 2011); 1x R1b-M343 (Iranian Kurds in Grugni et al., 2012); 13x R1b-M343 (Iraqi Kurds in Stenersen et al., 2004; based on Athey's Haplogroup predictor). Can we add this also´? I think M343 it isn't the same as M343*, or is it? Waiting for your answer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 4K9.3.70J2.7V1 (talkcontribs) 12:46, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

+M343 just identifies them as R1b and says nothing about whether or not they have any downstream mutations. Askatuga (talk) 00:58, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

See whether any of these studies tested for any downstream markers (try the latest ones). Askatuga (talk) 01:00, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
