StatCan crime statistics are very clear; the overall crime rate in Surrey puts it at #14 in Canada. Perhaps not enviable but still way below crime ridden cess pools like Vancouver (been dcowntown eastside?? thats SCARY) Burnaby higher too, even believe it or not. crime in Surrey lower than little sleepy Coquitlam. Lived here 25 years never BE, no car stolen, never assulated or robbed or accosted for that matter.
