Topics that were appealing to me:
1) Discourse Community, because I had no idea what this was until I read about it ( I don't understand it completely) and it seems interesting.
2) Cyberbullying, has always interested me because everyone has gone through some form of cyberbullying in their life. Many people don't know what to do about it or so not realize that they are being bullied. Most importantly, cyberbullying is so common in high school and college students so I find this topic to be relevant to where I am in my life.
3) Writing spaces and internet phenomena we mentioned in class would also be a interesting topic for this assignment. I think it will really make me think outside of my comfort zone and push me to explore the other types of spaces out there.

My Top Choices:
These are my choices ranked in order of preference: Internet Phenomena/ Online Magazines, Cyberbullying, Discourse Communities, Remediation. My first preference is Internet Phenomena/ Online Magazines because there is such an abundance of internet resources and magazines available that have never been explored by me. I have always seen magazines at grocery stores, or shops but I have never browsed through an online magazine. I also think this would be such a great resource and will allow me to learn so much about online resources. My second choice would be Cyberbullying, I was torn between this one and Internet Phenomena as my first choice. Cyberbullying is a topic which I can relate to because I have gone through a phase of cyberbullying myself in middle school so I can really connect to this topic. Since I have experienced this I think working on the Wikipedia page would be something that i would really research and look into. My third choice is Discourse Communities because I do not know anything about this topic so it would give me a great chance to really dig in and learn what Discourse Communities are. My last pick would be Remediation because when I try to search for a Wikipedia page I am not finding anything. So it would be nice to have a page dedicated to Remediation, instead of having links taking you to the word "remedy" and so on. Ashleenr (talk) 04:28, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
