Article feedback

[edit]

You're off to an excellent start on your article African American women in the silent film era. Please make sure that your work in mainspace meets the basic requirements of a Wikipedia article. Please review the sections on article layout in the Editing Wikipedia brochure (pages 7-9) and the checklist on page 15. Some specific items to consider:

  • Your article should begin with a lead section which summarizes the entire article and has the article title in bold.
  • The training module Sources and Citations will help you with proper format for footnotes and citations. Avoid parenthetical documentation in favor of footnoted citations.
  • Consider adding some relevant images to your article, such as photographs of key African-American silent film stars. You can use images from Wikimedia Commons or find images to upload yourself following the steps at the Finding images tutorial. See our module Contributing Images and Media Files for more information on how to properly find and use images on Wikipedia.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Rob (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:53, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
