Userbox and sandbox
[edit]Hi. You're welcome to go into edit mode on my user page and just copy my userbox if you'd like. Just fill it with what you want. About the sandbox it seems like you've already got one: User:Asatya82/Sandbox. Usually what I use mine for is if I'm editing an article but its a large edit then I'll do it in the sandbox first. Plus, its great for experimentation. Hope that helps and welcome to Wikipedia! Ltwin (talk) 02:34, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
P.S. You can sign your signature using four ~ (called tildes). It'll look like this in edit mode: ~~~~. And like this when saved: Ltwin (talk) 02:37, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
GOCE Drive – Final push
[edit]Greetings GOCE Backlog elimination drive participant, We are now coming up to the last few days of the drive, the last for 2010. Currently, it looks like we will achieve our target for reducing the backlog by 10%, however, we still have huge numbers for 2009. We have 55 participants in this drive. If everyone just clears 2 articles each, we will reduce the backlog by a further 110 articles. If everyone can just do 3 articles, we will hit 165. If you have yet to work on any articles and have rollover words, remember that you do need to copyedit at least a couple of articles in this drive for your previous rollover to be valid for the next drive. There are many very small articles that will take less than 5-10 minutes to copyedit. Use CatScan to find them. Let's all concentrate our firepower on the first three months of 2009 as we approach the end of this final drive for the year. Thank you once again for participating, and see you at the finish line! – SMasters (talk) 04:09, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

List class
[edit]What article is it? Are you trying to place an article in a particular list category or are you trying to categorize it as list-class on the article's talkpage? Ltwin (talk) 21:47, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
You have to give it a project. This article would fall under both {{WikiProject Computing|class=|importance=|websites=|websites-importance=}} and {{WikiProject Internet culture|class=|importance=}}. In the "class" parameter just put "List" and then in "importance" put either "Top", "Mid", or "Low". Ltwin (talk) 13:32, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Rewrite tags?
[edit]You posted rewrite tags in the Sceptre (fusion reactor) and Perhapsatron article using an automated tool. Can you explain why? Maury Markowitz (talk) 12:32, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ahhh, yes, well caught. My concern is that those takes are generally used when there's major problems that need a re-write, and I didn't think they were that bad. When you see specific examples like this, just go ahead and edit them, be bold! Maury Markowitz (talk) 17:19, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

GOCE drive invitation
[edit]Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors
The latest GOCE backlog elimination drive is under way! It began on 1 July and so far 18 people have signed up to help us reduce the number of articles in need of copyediting. This drive will give a 50% bonus for articles edited from the GOCE requests page. Although we have cleared the backlog of 2009 articles there are still 3,935 articles needing copyediting and any help, no matter how small, would be appreciated. We are appealing to all GOCE members, and any other editors who wish to participate, to come and help us reduce the number of articles needing copyediting, as well as the backlog of requests. If you have not signed up yet, why not take a look at the current signatories and help us by adding your name and copyediting a few articles. Barnstars will be given to anyone who edits more than 4,000 words, with special awards for the top 5 in the categories: "Number of articles", "Number of words", and "Number of articles of over 5,000 words". |
