The article Good Charlotte (The History of GC) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Comprehensive article about the band exists at Good Charlotte, most of the material here is either already present there or original research, thus there is no content here worth saving.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TheLetterM (talk) 06:33, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]I have redirected two articles that you created -Slasher: A History of Gore and Masked killers and The night he came home - to existing wikipedia articles. I did this for the following reasons:
1. Your articles are unreferenced essays, contrary to wikipedia policy at WP:OR
2. They duplicate much of the material in the existing articles, contrary to wikipedia guidelines at WP:CFORK.
You are perfectly free to edit the main articles, or even to edit your own articles in order to create a deliberate content fork provided you do so within wikipedia policies - otherwise they will probably be deleted.
Thanks, andy (talk) 16:13, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
