Consider presenting your point on Talk:India and using edit summaries

[edit]

Your edits are being reverted because you do not provide an edit summary and and actually stae what is it that you are trying to do. Please consider adding your opinion on the India talk page. KnowledgeHegemony 14:57, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss your edits on the talk page instead of edit-warring on the India article. Abecedare 03:47, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Using Talk pages

[edit]

Thanks for contacting me with the question.
Every wikipedia article has a talk page associated with it, where editors discuss issues relating to improving the article and resolve any conflicts that may arise with regards to the article content or organization. For example the talk page for the India article is at Talk:India. You can learn more about how to access these talk pages at WP:Talk page.
Also, every user on wikipedia also has a talk page, where other editors can contact him/her with questions and comments. For example, my talk page is at User_talk:Abecedare.
Also note that when you leave messages on a talk page, you should sign your comments by appending four tildas ( ~~~~) at the end. Any edits made to the articles, on the other hand, should not be signed - although one should leaver a brief edit summary explaining what changes were made. Please feel free to leave comments or ask any questions about editing on wikipediua on my talk page and welcome to wikipedia. Abecedare 07:32, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you need to say something to me, please do not do it behind my back. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 04:10, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On Rathika's talk page and User:Rajk2011's talk page you have gone behind my back. Please read this please [1] before reverting my edit again. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 13:58, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I know that a big deal, but I had to find it myself, rather then you notifying me. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 03:42, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re third opinion

[edit]

A third opinion has been given already. Also please refrain from adding information that is not sourced. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 04:23, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Rathika Sitsabaiesan, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  Chzz  ►  04:12, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sri Lanka

[edit]

Regarding the continues dispute on the Civil War section in the Sri Lanka article, I'm suggesting that everyone pull-out from editing and make any suggested constructive edits on this mediation sandbox. On the 18th, we can start discussing the content on the same page's discussion, to be able to seek consensus before we add anything to the main article. It's a high-traffic article, and I don't want to be a reason for misleading readers. So please keep it in your watchlist. Happy editing... Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Rathika Sitsabaiesan, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 05:39, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Rathika Sitsabaiesan. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 05:40, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Stop edit waring.Illiterates can't ask the spelling of psychology to sychology. The same applies here"

Calling other editors illiterate is rude and uncalled for, especially when you do not understand the meaning of edit warring. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 05:42, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RfC notification

[edit]

Within the continues efforts of trying to stabilize the Sri Lankan articles, I saw that it's important to take a step forward and request for comments from the open-wide community. I've opened the RfC here and you're welcome to join. Just remember, this is only about the structure and has nothing to do with the content. Cheers... This is a generalized message. ~ AdvertAdam on-mobile 06:14, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Civil War section on Sri Lanka

[edit]

Reference to the comment User:Steven Zhang, "For what it's worth, undue weight is something that has to be considered with a few points in mind, the impact it had, how long it lasted, how significant an event it was in the subjects history. Duration of time is not the only deciding factor, however. The fact that the civil war lasted only 30 years should not be the sole deciding factor." and since the the editors who voted "Disagree" after RFC never turned back for discussion with who voted "Agree" even after Two Months, I revert back to the non-involved editor User:Adamrce's last version on Sri Lanka page on "Civil War" section.HudsonBreeze (talk) 04:38, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

December 2012

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to Kamala Harris. Thank you.
Kamala's mom being born in Chennai doesn't mean that she is a tamil speaking person. The source does not say a thing about her mother's native language. Also, her mom's name sounds a lot brahminical & she may not necessarily be an ethnic tamil(dravidian). Could be a keralite too. Even if you believe otherwise, you are supposed to stick to the contents of the source. No original research please. By the way, the trend in India related biographical articles that are under the scope of wiki project India(including the indian tamil NRIs) is to mention their national identity, unlike the Lankan types. I repeat - there is no mention about her mother's native language in the cited source. You are in violation of Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons by adding unreferenced controversial information. Dont repeat it. Hari7478 (talk) 22:11, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
