Hello Artistcolony. As indicated in my edit summary on your recent draft article, publication of text on Wikipedia waives any claim of copyright. I would like to correct the above statement. Copyright in any material created by an editor in Wikipedia belongs to the creator, but adding that material to Wikipedia means that it is released under a license that allows it to be freely used by anyone. Thank you for contacting me about my draft in progress Draft:John Thomas Andrew. I will remove that copyright information from my draft, and will review further Wikipedia's policies on copyrights and conflicts of interest. As I do not have a relationship to the artist, Jack Andrew, or his family, I should be OK on the conflict of interest aspect. And now, if I may, I have another concern to raise. Wikipedia has a policy on usernames, which includes a section on usernames that represent a company, group, institution or product. Your username appears to represent a group or institution. If your username does indeed represent a group or institution, then you will have to change to a new username. I have two more questions: One, may one cite a source which is an obituary or memorial or is that considered a self-published source?
