Teaching-with-Wikipedia workshop at UCLA on March 31st

[edit]

Hi, Arthistory50. I noticed you're at UCLA and wanted to let you know that my organization, the Wiki Education Foundation, will be hosting a workshop about teaching with Wikipedia on Tuesday, 3/31. The event is scheduled for 5—6pm in the Inquiry Lab 1 of the Powell Library (more info here). I'm unsure if you're teaching while getting your PhD, but you may be interested in learning more or have a professor you'd like to invite. As you probably know from your experience with the Art + Feminism edit-a-thon, there is a lot of room for improvement on Wikipedia in articles related to art history, and engaging art students in a Wikipedia assignment can help make those improvements. If you want to hear more or connect with me off-wiki, please shoot me an email at jami@wikiedu.org. Thanks! Jami (Wiki Ed) (talk) 07:07, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
